Czechoslovakian-born Los Angeles-based violinist Pavel Farkas has passed away - aged 77
Czechoslovakian-born Los Angeles-based violinist Pavel Farkas has passed away - aged 77.
Throughout his six decade performing career, Mr Farkas served as a member of the Bratislava Radio Symphony, Mexico City Philharmonic, Osaka Philharmonic and the LA Philharmonic - and was the founding Concertmaster of the California Philharmonic and the Pacific Symphony.
In addition, he served a teaching position on faculty at the University of Redlands School of Music - and can be heard on numerous Grammy-winning records with artists including Whitney Houston, Linda Ronstadt, Cher, Barry White, Donna Summer, Diana Ross and Gloria Gaynor.
