Italian Lipizer Competition Semi-Finalists Announced

The following 15 competitors have today progressed through to the Semi-Final stage of the 2013 Rodolfo Lipizer International Violin Competition, in Gorizia, Italy

Seayoung Kim (Korea), Kyu Min Park (Korea), Amalia Hall (New Zealand), David Petrlik (France), Miguel Colom Cuesta (Spain), Yun Tang (China), Fedor Roudine (Russia), Pierre Frapier (France), Jordan Victoria (France), Min Kyung Sul (Korea), James Dong (Australia), Shuichi Okada (France), Mari Poll (Estonia), Leonard Fu (Germany) and Chin-Yang Lorenz Chen (Taiwan)

VC 'Young Artist',  21 year old Fedor Roudine, from Russia, was awarded the ‘Salus S.R.L. di Gorzia’ 1st round prize for best interpretation of a Mozart Concerto

24 year old Amalia Hall, from New Zealand, was awarded the ‘Elena Lipizer and Claudio Maura Sora’ 1st round prize for best interpretation of a Lipizer Study

20 year old James Dong, from Australia, was awarded the ‘Giovanna Goddi Glavio Who’ 1st round prize for best original composition of a Mozart Concerto cadenza
