Colburn School Appoints Violinist Scott St. John As New Director of Chamber Music
The Colburn School has announced the appointment of violinist Scott St. John as its new Director of Chamber Music
The Colburn School, in Los Angeles, has today announced the appointment of Canadian violinist Scott St. John as its new Director of Chamber Music - effective from September 2018.
In the newly created position, the former St. Lawrence String Quartet 1st violinist will lead the school’s college and pre-college chamber music programs.
The current co-Directors of the chamber music department, violinist Martin Beaver and cellist Clive Greensmith, will moving forward focus on individualized teaching.

"His remarkable talents as a performing artist in chamber music, orchestras and as a soloist, as well as his dedication to the art of chamber music and its unique and specific contribution to the education of young musicians, exemplifies the excellence and virtuosic teaching that is at the core of the Colburn School experience," she has said.
