The 4 category prize winners have been announced at the 2018 Andrea Postacchini International Violin Competition – in Marche, Italy.
1st Prize in the 8-11 year old category was awarded to Viktor Vasulev from Bulgaria
2nd and 3rd prizes were awarded to Sofia Demetriades from England and Maximus Chia from Singapore.
Victor will receive €1,400.
1st Prize in the 12-16 year old category was awarded to Michael Germer from Denmark.
2nd and 3rd prizes were awarded to Raphael Nussbaumer from Switzerland and Mikhail Usov from Russia.
Michael will receive €1,800.
1st Prize in the 17-21 year old category was awarded to Dmytro Udovychenko from Ukraine.
2nd and 3rd prizes were awarded to Patricia Cordero Beltran from Spain and Songao Wu from China.
Dmytro will receive € 2,200.
1st Prize in the 22-35 year old category was awarded to Kim Gyehee from South Korea.
2nd and 3rd Prizes were awarded to Ruslan Turuntayev from Kazakhstan and Akiko Ueno from Japan.
Kim will receive €2,600.
The 2018 jury comprised: Renée Leah Jolles (President), Felice Cusano, Marco Fiorini, Sergei Kravchenko, Krzysztof Wegrzyn, Nan Xie, and Pierre-Henri Xuéreb.
