Zhuhai International Mozart Competition Announces Prizewinners
All prizes have been announced in the six violin and piano age categories
Established in 2015, the Zhuhai International Mozart Competition is presented by the University of Mozarteum Salzburg and held for emerging violin and piano players.
Open to violinists and pianists under 23, the competition not only focuses on young musicians’ virtuosity but also attaches great importance to their understanding and interpretation of classical music style.
There are three groups decided by age: Group A is for those 12 years and under, Group B is for those 13 – 16 years old, and Group C is for those 17 – 23 years.

In Violin Group A, the First Prize went to Yeonah Kim, Second Prize Ex Aequo went to Xingchi Shen and Laura Jin, while Fourth Prize was given to Ziqian Yu.
In Piano Group A, the First Prize was awarded to Shanwei Liu, Second Prize to Zong You Han, Third Prize to Kexin Li, and Fourth Prize to Jingchun Yu.
In Violin Group B, no First Prize was awarded, but Second Prize Ex Aequo went to Gaeun Kim and Xiaozhuo Wang. Third Prize went to Madeline Goh Anyi and a diploma was given to Shuoran Sun.
In Piano Group B, the First Prize was given to Qinyaoyao Ji, Second Prize to Toby Tan Kai Rong, and Third Prize to Chenxi Chu.
In Violin Group C, the First Prize was awarded to Jinzhu Li, Second Prize to Jieon Park, and Third Prize to Jelena Horvat.
In Piano Group C, the First Prize was awarded Anastasiia Kliuchereva, Second Prize to Sunah Kim, and Third Prize to Benjamin Carter.
This year's Violin Jury includes Chairman Paul Roczek, Soon-Mi Chung Barratt-Due, Radu Blidar, Harald Eggebrecht, David Frühwirth, Kun Hu, Dora Schwarzberg, and Weidong Tong.
