VC ARTIST | Simone Porter — "Musical Maturity Well Beyond her Years"

American violinist Simone Porter has been praised by audiences for her lyricism, vibrant communication, and fearless ease

A graduate of the Colburn School, where she studied with Robert Lipsett, Simone is the recipient of a prestigious Avery Fisher Career Grant. She was recently hailed by the Edmonton Journal for "musical maturity well beyond her years."

Her recent debuts have featured her as a soloist with ensembles including the New York Philharmonic, Philadelphia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Houston Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Nashville Symphony, Utah Symphony, Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, Minnesota Orchestra Colorado Symphony, Pacific Symphony, and New Jersey Symphony.

She has also performed at a number of renowned institutions including the Edinburgh, Mostly Mozart, Ravinia, Grand Teton, and Aspen music festivals — as well as the Hollywood Bowl.

Simone currently performs on a 1740 Carlo Bergonzi violin, on generous loan from The Master’s University, Santa Clarita, California.
