The Zurich Chamber Orchestra has today announced the contract extension of Music Director Daniel Hope – through to the conclusion of the 2023-2024 season.
The 46-year-old British violinist joined the ensemble in the 2014 as their Artist-in-Residence – before being promoted to the Music Directorship position in January 2016.
"I am thrilled to be extending my contract for a second time as Music Director of the Zurich Chamber Orchestra ... " Daniel has today told The Violin Channel.
"Working with these wonderful musicians over the last few years has been a delight ... as we approach the 75th Anniversary of the Orchestra and the centenary of our founder, Edmond de Stoutz, I look forward to creating and presenting a wide variety of programmes and ideas to highlight this magnificent ensemble," he has said.
Daniel will perform with the Zurich Chamber Orchestra this Saturday, the 4th of July, as part of his new live-streamed TV series, 'Hope@Home'.
