Hope served for six seasons with The Beaux Arts Trio, and today performs and records regularly with many of the world’s top orchestras and conductors
The British violinist was born on this day 48 years ago.
A former student of Zakhar Bron, he is now Artistic Director of the Frauenkirche Cathedral in Dresden.
Since 2020, he has served as President of the Beethovenhaus Bonn, an honorary position previously held by Kurt Masur and Joseph Joachim.
Hope, who holds Irish and German citizenship and currently resides in Berlin, performs on the 1742 “ex-Lipínski” Guarneri del Gesù, courtesy of an anonymous family from Germany.
