2 New Rank and File Violinists Announced for Vienna Philharmonic

Two new 2nd violin appointments have today been announced by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra – following audition rounds yesterday.
They are 27 year old Adela Frasineanu, from Romania and 27 year old Benjamin Morrison, from New Zealand.
A student of Christiane Hutcap and Igor Ozim, Adela's previous orchestral experience includes positions with the German String Philharmonic, Brandenburg State Orchestra and Gustav Mahler Youth Orchestra.
In addition, she is a former 1st prize winner at the Queen Sophie Charlotte International Violin Competition and the Interlaken Chamber Music Competition.
A student of Professor Yair Kless, Benjamin's previous orchestral experience includes positions with the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Graz Opera and the Vienna Volksoper.
He is a former prize winner at the Michael Hill and Brahms International Violin Competitions.
