We're coming to you LIVE from Watson Hall in the University of North Carolina School of the Arts for a special recital featuring faculty artists Ida Bieler and Dmitri Vorobiev, titled Poetry, Darkness and Amour. The recital is programmed with the intention of introducing music with a wide variety of moods and characters to the audience.
The first American woman to be appointed concertmaster of a major European Orchestra, Professor Ida Bieler has soloed with over 40 orchestras across four continents. She is joined in this recital by Associate Professor Dmitri Vorobiev, former winner of the Casagrande International Piano Competition in Italy who was also a prizewinner in several international piano competitions, including the Busoni, Ibla Grand Prize and A.M.A. Calabria.
