We’re coming to you from Nuremberg, Germany for the ION Music Festival with the Eliot Quartet and light visual artist Laurenz Theinert. The unique festival is known for encouraging its artists and guests to get outside the usual festival traditions whilst enjoying a beautiful summer holiday experience.
Founded in 2014, the Eliot Quartett is comprised of violinists Maryana Osipova and Alexander Sachs, violist Dmitry Hahalin, and cellist Michael Preuß.
The quartet has been a prizewinner at the Mozart International Competition in Salzburg, the Melbourne International Chamber Music Competition, the Prize of the German Music Competition, and the inaugural International Karol Szymanowski in Poland. Other highlights include performances at the Bachfest Leipzig, the Mozartfest Würzburg, the Rheingau Musik Festival, the Festival Musica Sur in Spain, and the Mozarteum Salzburg.
