VC LIVE | 2022 Lillian and Maurice Barbash J.S. Bach Competition

We're coming to you LIVE from Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, New York for the Final Round of the 2022 Lillian and Maurice Barbash J.S. Bach Competition.

The competition is for string players ages 16-30, performing works (Partitas, Sonatas, Suites) by J.S. Bach for unaccompanied bowed string instruments.

This year's finalists are: bassist Nina Bernat, cellist Cheng "Allen" Liang, and violinist Yuki Serino.

The Grand Prize Winner will receive a cash prize of $5000, and will be the featured soloist at the Island Symphony Bach Festival – to be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, January 29, 2022 at St. Peter’s By-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Bay Shore, New York.

This year's jury includes Ida Kavafian, Robert Mealy, Colin Carr, Phoebe Carrai, and Arthur Haas.
