TwoSet Violin Returns with "I'm Bach" Trailer
The violin-comedy duo has rebranded with the name B²TSM, and some fans have reacted poorly to the PR stunt
In October, classical music comedy duo TwoSet Violin posted on Instagram announcing the end of an era. The Australian duo said it would be the last time posting under the TwoSet brand and deleted most of its content, including the majority of its viral YouTube videos.
The announcement caused quite a stir, with many fans wondering if Brett Yang and Eddy Chen were coming back.
Today, the group has resurfaced with a teaser trailer on its social media channels, using a new name: B²TSM. The acronym stands for Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, and Mozart.
The concept comes from TwoSet's parody of a K-pop group in 2022. They released B²TSM’s debut single "Duh Duh Duh Dum," using the main theme from Beethoven’s Symphony No.5.
The trailer ends with "I'm Bach" and hints that more information will come on Thursday, December 5, at 9 AM (ET). The video features only Chen dressed as Bach as he walks down the aisle of a church, complete with a time-travel machine.

The trailer is getting mixed reactions from their fanbase, with many expressing disappointment in the lack of communication and the need for an explanation.
"Fans were devastated, in denial and some even were grieving. For me personally, it just rings hollow and left a really bad aftertaste. It really just gives the feeling that you didn't care about how your fans felt in these past two months," one fan commented.
Other comments are taking a more comedic approach, with the Pittsburgh Symphony account posting, "besties you scared us 😭😭"
Founded in 2013, the duo has garnered over 4.3 million followers on YouTube and worked with soloists such as James Ehnes, Lang Lang, Hilary Hahn, Janine Jansen, and Maxim Vengerov.
