THROWBACK THURSDAY | Stuttgart International Violin Competition First Prize Winner Eva Rabchevska
The Ukrainian violinist performed Kreisler's Recitativo and Scherzo-Caprice at the 2021 edition
A graduate of the Bratislava State Conservatory, in Slovakia, and current student of Zakhar Bron at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, in Madrid, Eva is a former major prize winner at the Carl Flesch and Karol Lipinski International Violin Competitions. She was also one of twelve finalists at the prestigious 2019 Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition.
Here, she performs Fritz Kreisler's Recitativo and Scherzo-Caprice, Op. 6, at the Stuttgart International Violin Competition – where she was awarded First Prize at the competition's 2021 edition.

The Stuttgart International Violin Competition is competition is jointly hosted by the Guadagnini Foundation, the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Stuttgart State Academy of Music and Performing Arts. As well as a cash prize of €25,000, the winner also receives the loan of a 1746 Guadagnini violin. The next edition of the competition will take place from February 19–26, 2024.
