PBS to Broadcast World Premiere of John Williams' Violin Concerto

Featuring Anne Sophie-Mutter, the performance will air tonight at 9 PM ET on PBS

Tune in to watch the performance of Williams' Violin Concerto No. 2, previously recorded at Tanglewood this past summer. In it, the legendary multiple-Oscar-winning composer and Boston Pops Conductor Laureate John Williams leads the Boston Symphony Orchestra and virtuoso violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter.

The performance is part of the PBS series, "Great Performances" — one of the only continuing primetime performance showcase on American television, providing diverse programming of classical music, opera, popular song, musical theater, dance, drama, and performance documentaries.
