12 Year Old Shihan Wang Awarded 1st Prize at China's Zhuhai Junior Mozart Competition
12 year old Shihan Wang has been awarded 1st prize in the Group A (12 Years and Under) category at the 2017 2nd Zhuhai International Mozart Competition
12 year old Shihan Wang, from China, has just minutes ago been awarded 1st prize in the Group A (12 Years and Under) category at the 2017 2nd Zhuhai International Mozart Competition for Young Musicians – in Zhuhai, China.
2nd and 3rd prizes were awarded to 12 year old Clara Shen from Germany - and 10 year old Chloe Chua from Singapore.
A student of Professor Wang Hong at the Central Conservatory of Music, Shihan was also awarded 1st prize in the Junior Division of the 2016 Spohr International Violin Competition.

This year’s competition is held in 3 age categories: Group A (12 Years and Under), Group B (13 to 16 Years Old) and Group C (17 to 23 Years Old).
The 2017 jury comprises: Paul Roczek (Artistic Director), Friedemann Eichhorn (Jury Chair), Shmuel Ashkenasi, Harald Eggebrecht, Ani Schnarch, Akiko Tatsumi, Weidong Tong and Lina Yu.
