Senior Prizes Awarded at Belgium’s Leonid Kogan Violin Competition

Jaime Naya, from Spain, is the first prize winner in the 18 to 23 year old category

The 2020 Leonid Kogan International Competition for Young Violinists, in Brussels, Belgium, announced their senior category prize winners.

First prize in the 14 to 17 year old category was awarded to Lora Markova from Bulgaria.

Joint Second prize was awarded to Zhang Jing Yun from China and Boha Moon from South Korea.

No Third prize was awarded.

First Prize in the 18 to 23 year old category was awarded to Jaime Naya from Spain.

Joint Second prize was awarded to Quentin Routier from France and Xingzhou Rong from China.

Joint Third prize was awarded to Arseniya Sibileva from Russia, Daria Vasileva from Russia and Xiang Han from China.

Previous prize winners include VC Rising Star Maria Dueñas.

The 2020 jury comprised: Karen Aroutiounian (President), Sergey Khachatryan, Valery Oistrakh, Igor Unterberg, Aram Gevorkian, Eric Melon, Armen Harutyunyan and Vilmos Csikos.
