Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Offers Lockdown Video Archive for Free Streaming
Amsterdam’s Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra has announced that, throughout July, its entire video catalogue between June 2020 and June 2021 will be available for free streaming on its website
The archive houses an exciting collection of videos of the orchestra’s engagements with notable conductors including Alan Gilbert, Gustavo Dudamel, Iván Fischer, Daniel Harding, Jaap van Zweden, Klaus Mäkelä, and Semyon Bychkov. Among the expansive list of featured guest artists are violinists Sergei Dogadin, the orchestra’s concertmaster Liviu Prunaru and first violinist Sylvia Huang, and pianists Stefano Bollani, Yefim Bronfman and Beatrice Rana.
Works featured in the catalogue include Debussy’s La mer, Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto, and Mozart’s Symphony No. 34. Viewers will also have access to an array of archive performances as well as interviews with musicians of the orchestra.
