Rosamunde String Quartet Signs with Curtis Artist Management
The quartet will receive general management from the boutique agency that provides representation for faculty and alumni of the Curtis Institute of Music
Founded in 2015, the Rosamunde Quartet comprises Noah Bendix-Balgley, the first concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic; Shanshan Yao, a member of the Kammerakademie Potsdam and former violinist in the New York Philharmonic; Teng Li, principal viola of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra; and Nathan Vickery, cellist in the New York Philharmonic.
The quartet recently signed to the roster of Curtis Artist Management, a boutique artist-management company that provides representation for faculty and alumni of the Curtis Institute of Music — and they will receive general management and worldwide representation.
In the 2024/25 season, the quartet will appear at the Curtis Institute of Music and the University Musical Society at the University of Michigan. In recent seasons, they have performed in Asheville, N.C.; Bloomington, Ind.; Boston, Mass.; Cincinnati and Cleveland, Ohio; New York City; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Washington, D.C.; and Toronto, Ontario.
The group often gives masterclasses as part of their tours, and so far these have taken place at Curtis, Carnegie Mellon University, the Cleveland Institute of Music, Morningside Music Bridge, and the University of Toronto.
Other artists on the Curtis Artist Management roster include Michelle Cann, Dover Quartet, Avery Gagliano, Ji Su Jung, Elissa Lee Koljonen, Rosamunde String Quartet, and Trio Zimbalist.
"We are thrilled to join the roster of Curtis Artist Management," said violinist Shanshan Yao. "We look forward to working together to present exciting and meaningful concerts for our wonderful audiences, and to deepen our relationship with the Curtis Institute of Music, a place that means so much to all of us."
