Chandos Records has announced the release of British violinist Tasmin Little's new album: 'The Best of Tasmin'.

The double disc features a combination of Tasmin’s personal favorites from her extensive recording career – including selections from the Walton, Elgar and Britten Violin Concertos, Brahms and Beethoven Violin Sonatas and Elgar’s parlor works.

”I was very excited when Chandos suggested the idea of putting together a double CD to celebrate my career – and give an overview of the many recordings I’ve made over the years …” Tasmin, who is set to retire from the concert stage in December of this year, has this week told The Violin Channel.

“I’ve basically chosen a lot of my favourite recordings with all my favourite people … I hope that listeners will hear the immense variety of these tracks and come away feeling that they know a little more about me as a person and a performer,” she has said.
