Orfeo Records has announced the release of German cellist Daniel Müller-Schott's new album: 'Johannes Brahms - The Cello Sonatas'

Orfeo Records has announced the release of German cellist Daniel Müller-Schott's new album: 'Johannes Brahms - The Cello Sonatas'.

Recorded with Swiss pianist Francesco Piemontesi, the disc features Brahms' Cello Sonata No. 1 in E Minor, Cello Sonata No. 2 in F Major - and Brahms' Violin Sonata No. 1 in D Major (Arr. Cello & Piano).

“I have always been very attracted to Brahms' G Major Violin Sonata - written originally in 1878/1879 ...." Daniel has this week told The Violin Channel.

"German violinist and arranger Paul Klengel did the original transcription of this sonata into the key of D Major, which received approval from the composer himself - and I have now further arranged the cello part for this recording ...” he has said.

“I adore the incredible feeling of Brahms' romantic music ... it's a world of its own ...  incomparable.’’
