Opus 3 Artists Announces Creative Partnership with Lamling Group
The partnership aims to facilitate more efficient communication between artists and managers, agents, and presenters
Opus 3 Artists has announced that they will partner with Lamling Group to offer consulting services to a wide range of performing arts presenters internationally, as well as to the artists already on Opus 3’s roster.
The partnership aims to pair Opus 3's expertise in artist management with Lamling Group's complementary set of skills, including artistic curation, production, and strategic planning. The two companies anticipate that this pairing will allow managers, agents, presenters, and artists to collaborate more efficiently than before.
In particular, the partnership will focus on artistic programming for arts centers or presentation series; long-range artistic and business planning; project and production management, including commissioning and interdisciplinary program support; and advising and coaching emerging artistic and executive leaders in the field.
Lamling Group was founded by Amy Lam, who spent more than 25 years leading artistic planning and administration at Celebrity Series of Boston — and most recently worked at 92nd Street Y.
"I’m thrilled about this new alliance with my longtime colleagues at Opus 3," said Amy Lam, the founder and principal of Lamling Group. "Innovative thinking is what got our field through the pandemic, and increasingly, artist management and presenters are working even more closely to further the goals of producing and presenting creative programming, engaging new audiences, and advancing the field in a financially viable way."
"This new partnership meets the moment and reflects how our field continues to evolve," she added. "I look forward to making these meaningful connections happen with this unique partnership."
"This partnership with Lamling Group is a natural extension of our efforts to evolve beyond the traditional role of an artist management company," said Robert Berretta, the managing director of Opus 3 Artists. "Through our alliance with the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Askonas Holt, and Pentatone, Opus 3 has continued to search for new ways to serve both the traditional avenues of artist representation and seek out creative relationships that will help build a more dynamic and integrated future."
"Bringing Amy’s experience and expertise in presenting to the table will allow us to expand our offerings to our artists, while helping our presenting partners across the field to achieve their curatorial goals and vision," he continued. "Our longstanding mutual respect will benefit both companies as our work becomes more efficient, as well as more impactful."
