The New York Philharmonic has this week announced the appointment of violinists Dasol Jeong, Andi Zhang and Kyung Ji Min to the ensemble’s violin section.
A graduate of the Manhattan School of Music, The Juilliard School and the Eastman School of Music, where she studied with Ida Kavafian, Pinchas Zukerman, Patinka Kopec, Oleh Krysa, Leo Wigdorchik, Glenn Dicterow and Lisa Kim, Dasol is former 1st Prize winner at the Oleh Krysa International Violin Competition.
A graduate of The Juilliard School, the Manhattan School of Music and the China Central Conservatory, where her teachers included Pinchas Zukerman, Patinka Kopec and Joel Smirnoff, Andi is a former 1st prize winner at the Alice & Eleanor Schoenfeld International Violin Competition.
A graduate of the Curtis Institute and The Juilliard School, Kyung's former teachers included Shmuel Ashkenasi, Aaron Rosand and Sylvia Rosenberg.
