Larsen Strings has this week announced the launch of the new 'Virtuoso' completed viola string set – designed to accompany the original 'Virtuoso' viola A string, first released in 1995. 

“With the development of our new Virtuoso Viola strings the focus has been upon creating a new offering for viola D, G and C ... built upon the firm foundations of our tried and trusted A,” Larsen Strings CEO, Laurits Th. Larsen has told The Violin Channel. 

"With these strings, violists can find a balance of qualities to complement and mutually enhance something old with something new,” he has said. 

The new completed set has been described by testers as having a "golden, open and clear tone ... with a nice balance of warmth and brilliance." 

The sets come in both medium and soloist variants - and are available now internationally.

Individual strings are also sold separately.
