Lang Lang Becomes Global Ambassador for Dior
Previously an ambassador within China only, Lang Lang will now represent the French fashion house around the world
The Chinese pianist Lang Lang has been named a Global Ambassador for fashion house Dior, having previously been an ambassador within China.
Lang Lang has always had close ties with the fashion and lifestyle industries: he has been a brand ambassador for the Swiss watchmaking company Hublot since 2015, and Moët et Chandon supplied the champagne for his 2019 wedding.
He has also long been associated with LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the conglomerate that is the parent company of Dior. On multiple occasions, he has been dressed by Dior for public events, such as the 2023 Royal Variety Performance in London.
Lang Lang is one of the most well-known names in the classical music world. He performed at the 2008 Olympic Opening Ceremony in Beijing, the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony for US President Barack Obama, and the 2012 Diamond Jubilee Concert for Queen Elizabeth II at Buckingham Palace.
His most recent album, Lang Lang – Saint-Saëns, will be released on Deutsche Grammophon in March 2024.
"Constantly seeking new sonic horizons, this virtuoso pianist is thus furthering his affinities with the house, extending an invitation to celebrate, more than ever, the special ties that have always united Dior with the magic of art and music," Dior said in a statement.
