LA Philharmonic Announce New Principal Violist

The LA Philharmonic has announced the appointment of Chinese-Canadian violist Teng Li as their new Principal Viola

The LA Philharmonic has today announced the appointment of Chinese-Canadian violist Teng Li as their new Principal Viola.

A graduate of the Central Conservatory of Music and the Curtis Institute of Music, Teng is a former major prize winner at Primrose and ARD International Viola Competitions - and has served as principal violist with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra since 2004.

She will replace Carrie Dennis as section leader - who stepped down from the orchestra in June of last year.
