Joseph Joachim Violin Competition's 2021 Winner Maria Ioudenitch

This year's competition will take place in September, with applications closing on March 31, 2024

 

Violinist Maria Ioudenitch won first prize at the last edition of the Joseph Joachim Violin Competition. She received €30,000, an additional €10,000 for the "Laureate of the Joseph Joachim International Violin Competition Hannover" prize, and several international performance opportunities.

Applications are now open for the twelfth edition of the Joseph Joachim Violin Competition, which will take place in Hanover, Germany between September 16 and September 28, 2024. The competition is run by the Stiftung Niedersachsen and takes place every three years.

Open to violinists born between September 29, 1991, and September 16, 2008, the competition's applications will be open by March 31, 2024. You can apply here.

A graduate of the International Center for Music at Park University, the Curtis Institute of Music, and the New England Conservatory, where she studied with Ben SayevichShmuel AshkenasiPamela Frank, and Miriam FriedMaria is a former prize winner at the Johansen International Competition for Young String Players, and was recently awarded 1st prizes at both the 2021 Ysaye and Tibor Varga International Violin Competitions.
