SAD NEWS | Boston and Philadelphia Violist Joseph de Pasquale has Died

American violist Joseph de Pasquale has passed away – aged 95.

He served as Principal Violist with the Boston Symphony from 1947 to 1964 - and with the Philadelphia Orchestra from 1964 until his retirement in 1996.

Mr de Pasquale gave the world premiere performance at the Walter Piston Viola Concerto and held teaching positions at the Peabody Institute, Indiana University, New England Conservatory and the Curtis Institute.
