Grant Recipients Announced for British Hattori Foundation Awards

The Hattori Foundation for Music and the Arts has announced the 8 recipients of the 2019 Senior Hattori Foundations Awards
The Hattori Foundation for Music and the Arts in London has this week announced the 8 recipients of the 2019 Senior Hattori Foundations Awards.
Open to British and British-based instrumentalists and ensembles aged 21-27 years old who show promise of an international career, each recipient will receive a grant to be used toward private study, living and travel expenses - and to aid in offsetting the costs associated with attending masterclasses and competitions.
The Senior Award recipients are:
- Violinist Callum Smart
- Cellist Margarita Balanas
- Pianist Andrei Iliushkin
- Pianist Ariel Lanyi
- Pianist Arisa Onoda
- Pianist Wouter Valvekens
- Clarinetist Ivan Rogachev
- Oboist Rees Webster
Previous winners include: VC Artists Timothy Ridout and Jennifer Pike, Ning Feng, Maxim Rysanov and Lawrence Power.
