Finalists Announced at New York’s Concert Artists Guild Competition
Today, the Concert Artists Guild, in New York, announced the eight finalists of their 2020 Victor Elmaleh Competition
The 2020 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition finalists are:
- Violinist VC Young Artist Nathan Meltzer
- Violinist Geneva Lewis
- Violinist Joshua Brown
- Cellist Gabriel Martins
- Soprano Axelle Fanyo
- Percussionist Britton-Rene Collins
- Empire Wild
- Pianist Evren Ozel
This year’s winners will receive 3 years of artist management and career development on the roster of Concert Artists Guild, including performance opportunities with more than 40 leading orchestras, concert series and festivals.
The annual audition is open to outstanding young instrumental soloists and ensembles, of any nationality, who do not have North American management.
Previous CAG 1st prize winners include the Pacifica Quartet, violinists Jennifer Koh and Joseph Lin – and VC Artists InMo Yang, Yoojing Jang, Jordan Bak and the Verona String Quartet.
The winners will be announced on the 13th of October.
The 2020 jury comprises: Abhijit Sengupta, Avi Avital, Cristina Rocca, Jenny Bilfield, Jessie Montgomery, Leila Getz and Nicholas Phan.
