Finalists Announced at Romania’s Enescu International Violin Competition

Open to international violinists 32 years of age or younger, the 1st prize winner will be awarded €15,000
The George Enescu International Violin Competition, in Bucharest, Romania, announced its 3 finalists.
This year’s finalists are:
- Tassilo Probst (Germany)
- Valentin Șerban (Romania)
- Jaewon Wee (South Korea)
The opening two rounds of the competition were hosted online in 2020, due to the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the final rounds are being held this week in person from the Romanian Athenaeum with conductor Wilson Hermanto and the George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra.
The 2021 violin jury comprises: Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Remus Azoiţei, Koichiro Harada, Silvia Marcovici, Mihaela Martin, Igor Petrushevski, Eduard Schmieder and Krzysztof Wegrzyn.
