Dinara Klinton Joins Piano Faculty at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music

The Ukrainian pianist has taught at the Royal College of Music and the Yehudi Menuhin School

The Ukrainian pianist Dinara Klinton has been appointed to the faculty at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music as an associate professor of piano, and she will step into the position on August 1, 2024.

Klinton has won a number of international competitions, including the Busoni Piano Competition, and appeared at venues such as the Royal Albert Hall, Berliner Philharmonie, and the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. She has also made concerto appearances with orchestras such as the Philharmonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and Lucerne Symphony.

In addition, she has won widespread acclaim for her recordings, including for a recent disc of the Transcendental Etudes of Franz Liszt.

Klinton has previously held English faculty appointments at the Royal College of Music and the Yehudi Menuhin School.

"As one of the most vibrant performers and teachers of piano today, Dinara Klinton will offer invaluable insights to our students," said Abra Bush, the David Henry Jacobs Bicentennial Dean. "We eagerly anticipate her contributions to the legacy of our piano department and school."

"The Jacobs Piano Department is elated to welcome Dinara Klinton to our faculty," said Norman Krieger, department chair. "She has established herself as one of the most sought-after concert pianists of her generation as she regularly performs all over the world with renowned orchestras and conductors."
