Today is Canadian violinist James Ehnes' 41st birthday.

A protege of Sally Thomas and the Juilliard School, James is widely regarded as one of today's pre-eminent virtuosi – performing and recording prolifically with the world's finest orchestras and conductors.

He currently concertizes on the 1715 'Ex Marsick' Stradivarius.
