British Conductor Malcolm Goldring has Died, Age 72

The English conductor and oboist recently passed away from pancreatic cancer

A graduate of the Royal College of Music and Durham University, Goldring conducted major British orchestras including the BBC Philharmonic, the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, the English Symphony Orchestra, the Philharmonia Orchestra, and Orchestra of the Swan.

On top of his career as a conductor, he was also the Music Director of the Royal Leamington Spa Bach Choir from 1988 to 1995. He was the founder of the Midland Festival Chorus, a choral workshop that comprises over 200 singers.

Our condolences are with Mr. Goldring's family, friends, students, and colleagues.
