Berlin Philharmonic Announces Appointment of Prodigious 18 Year Old

The Berlin Philharmonic has announced the appointment of 18 year old Austrian-born trumpeter Florian Pichler as their new 2nd Trumpet.

A student of Johann Plank at the Vienna Conservatory, Florian is a former 1st prize winner at the 'Prima la Musica' Austrian Youth Music Competition.

He will commence his appointment on September 1st.

The appointment comes just weeks after the London Symphony Orchestra announced the appointment of 18 year old Principal Trombonist, Peter Moore.
