AUDITION | Odense Symphony Orchestra — Principal Second Violin
Applications for the Danish ensemble are due on Monday August 8, 2022
Denmark's Odense Symphony Orchestra is currently recruiting for a new Principal Second Violin. The successful applicant will be loaned an 1862 master instrument by the French maker J. B. Vuillaume to play on for the length of their tenure with the orchestra.
A regional orchestra with 73 musicians, the Odense Symphony Orchestra is based in Odense Concert Hall and has an annual audience of approximately 85,000 people. While the orchestra's core focus is on mainstage performances of the symphonic repertoire, they also play a number of school and family concerts, church and chamber concerts, as well as accompanying opera performances and making CD recordings. The orchestra tours regularly in Denmark and abroad.
The first round of auditions will take place live at the Odense Concert Hall on September 9, 2022, with applications to be received no later than Monday August 8, 2022.
