Astral Artists has today announced the 2016 national audition winners - including VC Young Artist Timothy Chooi

PHILADELPHIA - Astral Artists Management has today announced the seven 1st prize winners of the 2016 national auditions - including VC Young Artist Timothy Chooi, from Canada.

This 2016 winners are:

• Violinist, VC Young Artist Timothy Chooi 
• Violinist, Katie Hyun
• Pianist, Congcong Chai
• Pianist, Natalia Kazaryan
• Pianist, Zhenni Li 
• Harpest, Emily Levin 
• Rolston String Quartet

“We are thrilled to have such an outstanding group of artists join Astral this year … their ability to excel through such a rigorous audition process is a testament to how superb these individuals are as artists and people,” Astral Artists Executive Director, Julia Rubio has told The Violin Channel.

This year’s winners will join the esteemed Astral Artists Management roster – for customized career development mentorship, marketing, performance opportunities and community engagement experience.

The seven winners were selected from several hundred applicants - and following a number of live audition and interview rounds.

Previous Austral Artists winners include: violinists Judith Ingolfsson and Soovin Kim – and VC ‘Artists’ Nikki Chooi and Benjamin Beilman.
