Ruslan Talas
What are your hobbies outside of music?
I really enjoy reading, and I’m also into table tennis. I’m a big boxing fan too, and I try to catch matches whenever I can.
If you were not a musician, what profession do you feel you’d be doing now?
As a kid, I dreamed of being an archaeologist. Now, I can easily see myself as a historian or an astronomer — there’s something fascinating and mysterious about both.
What would your dream gig be?
For me, it’s not about specific venues or formats; what truly matters is the opportunity to perform. My dream performances are those where I can express creativity and experiment with interpretation.
What is a song that makes you turn the radio up?
Whenever I hear Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin, I immediately turn up the volume. My dad used to play it on the guitar when I was a kid, so it’s always had a warm, nostalgic feeling for me. It’s a classic that I never get tired of.
What would you say makes you unique as a musician?
I think one of my strengths is my ability to think in images. I often imagine scenes and feelings that I try to bring out in my music. However, my perspective is subjective - perhaps it’s best left to the audience who has experienced my performances to truly answer this question.
Do you keep all 3 meals phone-free? No social media scrolling?
Honestly, I’m a bit old-fashioned and not a big fan of social media — I don’t use it often. Now and then, I’ll watch interviews with historical figures or documentaries on YouTube, but that’s about it.
