Applications Closing for 2021 Vladimir Spivakov International Violin Competition

Open to violinists between ages 15-26, the competition will take place in Ufa, the Republic of Bashkortostan, from November 22-26, 2021

 

Applications are to be received by October 1st, 2021.

Created in honor of Russian conductor and violinist Vladimir Spivakov, the first prize winner will be awarded an Italian violin made by Giuseppe Pedrazzini (Milan, 1918).

Other prizes include instruments by Nicolas Caussin, Igor Ulitsky, as well as cash prizes of $1000 USD each.

"I am happy that the International Violin Competition will be held in Ufa for the third time!" Spivakov said in a statement. "I am grateful to the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan, Radii Faritovich Khabirov, as well as to the Government and the Ministry of culture of the Republic of Bashkortostan for supporting this juvenile but important project."

This year's jury consists of Mikhail Samuilovitch Kopelman (Chairman), Vladimir Spivakov, Boris Kuschnir, Tong Weidong, and Joji Hattori.

Previous prizewinners include VC Young Artists Daniel Lozakovich and María Dueñas.
