NEW MUSIC TUESDAY | Chengqian Xue - 'Song of Praise' for Violin & Piano [VIDEO]

26 year old VC Young Artist Bomsori Kim performing Chinese composer, Chengqian Xue’s newly-premiered work ‘Song of Praise’ for Violin and Piano.

Commissioned for the 2016 Schoenfeld International String Competition, the 7 minute work is said to depict the vast and expansive scenery of the Inner Mongolia prairie.

Chinese violinist and composer, Chengqian Xue currently serves as Associate Principal Concertmaster and Composer-in-Residence with the Harbin Symphony Orchestra - and holds a teaching position on faculty at the Harbin Teachers College Conservatory.
