BREAKING | Finalists Announced at Munich’s 2018 ARD International Piano Trio Competition

The 3 ensembles progressing to the Final stage of the 2018 ARD International Piano Trio Competition have been announced

The 3 ensembles progressing to the Final stage of the 2018 ARD International Piano Trio Competition have been announced – in Munich, Germany.

The 2018 Piano Trio Finalists are:

• Aoi Trio (Japan)
• Lux Trio (South Korea)
• Trio Marvin (Kazakhstan/Russia/Germany)

Open to young international musicians, aged 17 to 35 who are ready to launch an international career, the winning ensemble will receive €10,000 – and a number of important debut concert and recording invitations.

The 2018 piano trio competition jury comprises: Vincent Coq, Jens Elvekjær, Amiram All, Stefan Mendl, Sølve Sigerland, Tanja Tetzlaff and Quirine Viersen.

Previous ARD Competition category prize winners include: Christian Tetzlaff, Jessye Norman, Natalia Gutman, Christoph Eschenbach, Mitsuko Uchida, Yuri Bashmet, Igor Ozim, Dora Schwarzberg – and VC Artists Bomsori Kim and Sarah Christian.
