SAD NEWS | Australian-born Cellist Tanya Prochzaka Has Passed Away – Aged 63

Australian-born Canadian cellist Tanya Prochazka has died, after a nine-year battle with ovarian cancer – aged 63.

A student of Andre Navarra, Jacqueline du Pre and Janos Starker, Mr Prochazka served as principal cellist with the Scottish Baroque Ensemble, the London Mozart Players and the English Sinfonia – and held prominent teaching positions at the Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music and the University of Alberta.
